“But What Can I Do?”

This is a question I have been asked many times since starting this conversation online. When I first learned about human trafficking I took a deep dive into the following resources, and I’ve compiled a list for you, upon request. I hope you will be inspired to take action, and join me in the fight.

• Follow Project Rescue Children: http://www.projectrescuechildren.org
  Led by Adam Wittington, they are working to abolish child trafficking, exploitation, slavery and child sexual abuse. They are based in Queensland, Australia.

  Project Rescue Children is a 100% volunteer based charity and relies solely on donations to be able to carry out our operations to support children that have been exploited through child trafficking. I’ve personally donated $1000 this year.

• Head to O.U.R Rescue: https://ourrescue.org
  Led by Tim Ballard, their mission is permanent eradication of child sex trafficking. In the past six years, O.U.R. has rescued 3,800 victims and assisted in the arrests of more than 2,100 traffickers around the world. Their work is truly phenomenal.

  O.U.R’s Abolitionist Club is an incredible community of people fighting modern-day slavery. I’ve personally committed $75 AUS/month to start.

  A21 is a global company who’s mission is to abolish slavery, everywhere, forever. The Australian arm is located in Sydney and they are in need of volunteers. Apply here.

  They have some amazing information and a new campaign to help make sure you know the signs of human trafficking: knowthesignsnow.org.

• Follow The Freedom Hub: https://thefreedomhub.org
  The Freedom Hub Cafe and Event venue is an ethical business for purpose. They donate all of their profits to support the Freedom Hub Survivor School, a school that trains and equips victims of modern slavery to rebuild their lives, regain confidence and be reemployed in freedom. Such a phenomenal contribution to stopping slavery in Australia.

• Listen to Fighting Child Sex Slavery with Tim Ballard on The School of Greatness.
  This really opened my eyes to the online nature of the child sex trafficking industry, and how we need to protect our children more than ever right now. If you have children who have regular access to devices, do you know who they are talking to or playing games with online?

• Listen to Tim Ballard on The Candace Owens Show.
  Tim tells the story of Gardy, which was how I first came across O.U.R. You must head to O.U.R Rescue’s Instagram and watch their ‘GARDY’ highlights. It’s one of the most heart breaking and inspiring stories I’ve ever heard.

  PragerU don’t just cover human trafficking but they do share some incredible free videos on this topic, as well as others including COVID-19 and censorship.

• Check out Fight the New Drug: https://fightthenewdrug.org
  They are a non-religious, non-legislative nonprofit raising awareness on the harmful effects of porn and exploitation.

• Please examine your personal use or pornography. To quote Fight the New Drug: “It’s all well and good to speak out against sexual abuse, inequality, and exploitation. But to then watch porn that normalises and glorifies those very same behaviours is missing the point entirely”. I could not agree more.
